X Men - From a hater to an admirer

Salam Alaikum.
May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

I was wondering, man, lets write the story of my hatred-turned-love for the movie, X Men (2000).

When I was in 7th grade, a friend of mine was a movie maniac. MM, movie maniac, was a term used back then to show someone's craze for movies.
Anyhow, she had a chance to watch X-Men somwhere. Her father brought it or her brother, doesnt matter anyway!
She came to me and asked if I have seen it. My answer was, with no surprise, in negative.

Cos I didnt care for movies much. She told me that there is a handsome mutant in the movie who has blades in his hands. And I was like,"Who in the world falls for a bladed mutant?"

That proved my friend's REAL insanity. Well, she was a teen, I dont blame her. But still, A mutant with blades in his hand, are u kidding me? And she called him handsome and praised him as if he was some Prince Charles.

Anyways, I wanted to discover who he was, but lack of sources wouldnt allow me. After 2-3 years, a channel called MBC2 showed the movie. And as X-Men had a hype, there was no chance I would miss it.

All my siblings watched it. They liked it too, but me, nah. I still hated it. Specially that bladed Mutant wolverine, which was his name.
Time passed. And with time, i myself became a movie maniac. I started to watch 5 movies a week, must. As if it was some dose for me. That I dont take it, i'll die. Not die but wont live quite easily either.

Then my routine became one movie a day.
From The Godfather to The Dark Knight, I have watched about a 1000 movies I guess.
Be it a chickflick or a solid action packed ride, I have seen it.

Recently MBC2 showed X-Men again. In those days, my sister was at home on vacations. I asked her if she wants to watch it but she said, I have better things to do, hehe.

Well, I decided to get my pop-corns ready, cos I dont know why, but I started to have a thing for action movies.

It begin, believe it or not, I LOVED it. Absolutely adored the whole movie. The plot was amazing, acting was superb (Halle Barry excluded) and well well, the bladed mutant....
He was awesome. I realised it quite late, but yes, he was truly nice.

Specially when his blades came out the first time, my whole body got chilled and I was thinking,"It hurts! ouch..."

About 6 years ago, i gave this movie a 4 out of 10. But after watching it, with some knowledge of movies, acting and media, i give it a 9.
The only point I cut is because of Halle Barry's acting. Which was, lets say, poorly bad.

Specially her infamous dialogue to the not-so-good Toad,"Do you know what happens to a toad when its struck by lightening..??" Then the well-known-poor-toad gets struck. Storm, Hally Barrey, says,"The same thing that happens to everything else..."

I mean, are you kidding me? Dammit people, OF COURSE lighting would hurt the toad, it wont turn him into King of England of course.

Well, never mind these little things.
The X Men Trilogy is awesome. And I really do believe I have been missing alot for not enjoying it for so long.
GOD bless u all.

Some Deaths Do Affect Us..!!

Salam Alaikum everyone.

May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

As you might have known that I am a very very bad movie addict. Bad in a sense that I HAVE to watch a movie everyday otherwise my day doesnt pass.

Recently found the release of "The Dark Knight". Another batman sensation. Living in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I am unable to watch the movie but its trailers really seem to be intresting. And there is a guy I just dont want to talk about as it makes me sad or I should say, it makes me feel worst deep down inside. His name is Heath Ledger, The Joker of The Dark Knight (TDK).

His character is really kind of scary. But for me its just sad. This phenomenal actor late Heath Ledger passed away this year on 22 January by an accidental overdose of prescribed drug(s). Or so does the media says.

He was 28 and now is very well known for this character of his.

The Joker is a very strange villian who is somehow funny, scary and for people like me, a legend.

When I saw the trailer for the first time I couldnt believe it was Heath Ledger. He looked completely different. You like it or not, the joker DOES seem to be a TRUE bad guy.

In real Ledger doesnt have those bad guy looks but Joker is really a good example of transforming someone into something, :D.

Ok back to Ledger. I wasnt much of a fan of him. He was a fine actor and pretty much of what hollywood needs. Had a daughter, a pretty 2 year old named Matilda.

When I got to know about his death, I couldnt stop thinking what about his daughter? People like me, the media loving people, have seen him in movies, know his biography etc. But what will happen to his daughter? Who wont get to know her own father except from some movies he has done. She wouldnt have those tender hands holding her. Taking her to school, wiping her tears. He wouldnt be here to hold her hand when she takes her first step. She wouldnt have him with her while walking down the aisle on her big day, her wedding day. She lost someone she would have loved THE MOST.

I might be sounding a little lame and sad. But last night I couldnt help my tears from coming out after I saw the Trailer of TDK on T.V. Its breaking the records. And has already become the most succesful movie of 2008. But one of its main part, The Joker, is no longer here to see the move being a hit among each kind of audience. Children, teens, old people...everyone is loving the movie.

I still cant believe the deaths of many people. Including my dad's brother who was really dear to me. Just like a father he was.

What I learn from these deaths is that get the best out of your life. Do the best in your life. Dont waste it after seeing the worst in the world. If you have an aim, follow it. Dont waste your life for the people who wont support you. Try to prove yourself as a good guy and never try proving it to those who know nothing but criticism. Avail the oppurtunities that come. See the best in everything. As you never know when will be your time to take the last breath.

Death doesnt see who is of what age, if ALLAH has decided for me to die now or to die after 70 years, it upto HIM, not me. So if I can do something right now, I should. Never wait

May ALLAH bless us all and give us the best life and the ability to live it as its best.

You hate me? I wont hate, wont love either..

Salam Alaikum everyone.

May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

Well, how many of us watch movies? Any type is accepted. 70%? 80 or may be 90%. And some of us are literal movie addicts. One example is writing this article.

Recently I got to know about a real fine actor, Edward Norton. A fun-to-watch guy. His acting is really nice, I mean I was really surprised why didnt I got to know about him before? Anyways, back to topic.

I was watching the movie, keeping the faith. Loved it. Though I had nothing to do with the movie, as it was for catholic christians and jews, still the acting, cast, cinematography, everything was nice. And there starred the guy Edward Norton. Forget everything, his versatile way of acting was truly stunning. When I used to be 13, 14, I was always watching the movies of guys who were cute. Come on, every person goes through this stage, I am no exception.

Well this time I watched the movie for the sake of acting. I searched for more movies of Ed Norton and found one cute, light movie 'The Painted Veil'.

The movie's story was wonderful. A cute couple, married for no reason. The thing I loved was,"You hate me? I dont hate but wont love either'" theory. The main actress, Naomi Watts (who also happens to be the producer wtih Ed Norton for the movie), was playing Kattie. A selfish, spolied, fun-loving english girl. Mr. Walter Fane, Kattie's husband was played by Edward Norton. A serious, quite but somehow loving english man. Who fell in love with Kattie even though they were no match.

The start went good between them. But as time passed, their relationship got lost somewhere. As Walter wasnt what she expected, she falls in love with some other guy. A really wierd (FOR ME weird cos I hated that character) guy who pretends to fall in love with everyone. Named Charles townsend. Hated him from all my heart.

But Walter wasnt as much of a fool as Kattie expected him to be. He knew everything. One condition he kept for Kattie that whether he will divorce her or take her with him to a Cholera epidemic effected area of Interior China.

She asked him not to make it a scandal. But Walter was a man of his rules. All he wanted to do was punish her for what she did to him and punish himself for deciding to marry her. That was really sad for both of them.

Kattie asks Charlie that Walter will let her divorce him quietly if Charlie agrees to marry her and let his wife divorce him. But Charlie turned out to be a true coward. He said,"We have to keep my wife out of it as much as possible."

And there goes the climax. Kattie has no option other than going with her husband, who happens to be a doctor and a bacteriologist. And took charge of the hospital serving cholera patients.

Now watch the movie yourself. Cos I dont want to spoil the fun. As for why I am writing the article. The reason is the main concept. When Kattie started to hate Walter, I liked his way that he never hated her. Nor did he divorce her. No matter what, he was her husband. Though what he did, taking to a disease effected area wasnt much of a sincere thing but he remained to be a true person. How he saves her life from the nationalist people was superbly amazing. At the end of the day she was Mrs. Walter fane. And you like it or not, they were married. A couple. I wonder how awesome it would be if all people become loyal like this.

Forget about couples. I am just 17, have no reason to think about marriage. Nothing personal actually, I would hate to get married. Forget it..!!

In friendship, how much loyalty is required. People, their hatred, love, money, ranks, everything means nothing infront of a friend or I should say a loyal friend. I remember one of my friends. She was one awesome person. Or a friend people dream for. I had that dream. But after all her promises, sincerity and other stuff turned out to be a lie, I was devastated. Wonder why people do this? You dont have to be a president to become a friend.

It was heartbreaking. Still I am trying to get over it and thinking, WHY? I mean whats people's problem? If you cant be a human, dont pretend to be one. If you are no sincere person than back off and stop making friends. Be with your loved ones who really love you and stop messing with other people's life.

Loyalty means being with your friend and being with him even if he isnt with you. Being a friend means being sincere. Its like to be a Muslim, you HAVE TO believe in ALLAH and the Last Prophet peace be upon him. And thats your responsiblity. So be a good person, be loyal or dont mess with others. Not all people hate others, but some. Not all people are loving but some are. Be careful.

Stay blessed.

3....2...1....Pens Down!!!

Salam Alaikum everyone.
may you all be in the best state of health and faith.
Recently during my exams I had a strange experience. We had one funny. confusing and a scary examiner who used to come in the middle of the paper and at the end to tell us that whatever we have written is enough and time is over.

One thing I hated about him was his countdown. Our papers being lengthy, we never had enough time. Specially in my paper of Education, Ohh, I was sure I wont complete it in time. I knew that my long questions wont be done in time so why not do them first. Still, when I started the short ones, they were far harder and longer than the long ones..!! What was the professor, who made our paper, thinking? We are robots or something??

Anyhow, our examiner entered our exam room....What was going through his mind? I have no idea. His face looked as if he will snatch our papers. He started the countdown from 1 minute. And when it came to some seconds, he scared the hell out of me. 5....4...3....2.....1.....PENS DOWN. And asked our lady examiner to collect the answer sheets.
She started collecting them. While I handed over my sheet, my hands were shaking and I was too much scared. Why? Cos I missed two questions, not enough time.

Now I was wondering, there will be a time when ALLAH will order us to stop writing, put our pens down. How many of us will regret things in life? How many of us will be shaking cos most of us have missed million question unanswered. Million duties undone. How badly we will think,"If only I get another chance."
Trust me, there is no other chance after this one. You can repeat your exams, your semesters and you can do anything with your academic life. But this chance we are given to worship ONE GOD, ALLAH S.W.T, To serve humanity, this chance wont be given again. You regret 16, 20, 30 or no matter how many years of your life, this is the first and the last chance ever.
Being Muslims, its our first and foremost responsibility to prove ourselves as Muslims. We have a work given which needs to be done. So be a Muslim and show that u r one.

Hope, insha ALLAH, when ALLAH orders our heart to stop beating and our brain to stop working, we have done enough good so we dont have to say,"I wish I can live once again so I prove myself right."
May ALLAH bless us all.

I was given a Life, I wasted it (Poem)

I was given a choice, I lost it..
I was given opportunity, i missed it
I was given a chance, I didn’t take it...
I was given risk, i feared it..
I was given faith, i weakened it..
I was given belief, I couldn’t find it..
I was given a source (Holy Qur'an), i neglected it..
I was given help, I was too arrogant to take it
I was given a family; i disrespected it
I was given loving group of people. I dishonored it
I was given money, i misused it..
I was given happiness, i was unthankful for it..
I was given sadness, still i didn’t remembered HIM
I was given a life, I WASTED IT!!
Now I believe I have chance to built..
To prove, I was given a life and I LIVED IT

Description: This is the poem that represents most of us. Who live for nothing, with no dreams. We need a wake up call or else we will die for nothing, with no beliefs.

Why a blog? If yes, why this way?

Salam Alaikum everyone.
May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

Well, I am a Muslim girl living my life with lots and lots of dreams. No idea if they will ever fulfill or not but I'll try.
Many of the people who will visit this blog definately would know that I already have another blog. So why anoother one?

Hmm, the reason for that is real simple. My first blog is of a specific genre, Teen Muslims and some things related to that. In which I am duty bound to post things of that very subject. http://www.teen-muslims.discussionsblog.com/ This is my first blog address if U want to visit :D

Being a story writer, I cannot share all my work with that blog. So thats what made me think of another one.
In this blog, I will share my experiences, lifestyle, bad times, pictures and so much. So keep tuned.
It might be JUST ANOTHER BLOG for you but for me, its the way to explain who I am.
Thanks for all my readers of previous blog. I hope insha ALLAH I get a positive feedback for this one too.
May ALLAH bless you all.

Stay blessed and take care.
